Haiti

Haiti - now in ruins. A colossal earthquake of magnitude 7 has killed an estimated 100,000 people (news reports won't give a death count yet)and left the chronically impoverished nation without resourses to manage the chaos. The palace lies in shattered wreckage. The archbishop is dead. The dead are too many to deal with.

Behind the facade of beauty, lay filth, poverty, parasitic worms, AIDS and religious ignorance. Not one president of Haiti has ever served a full term, as provided for in the constitution, without being deposed by the army. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but don't flame me !

Haiti will not recover. The United Nations should take over, maybe relocate the entire population to Africa, where their ancestors came from... The region is too earthquake prone.

Don't forget the eruption of Mount Pelee which destroyed the city of St. Pierre. There were only 2 survivors...
